RENAISSANCE RIF FORT

Once housing 56 cannons inside its 1.5 meter-thick walls, the Rif Fort was originally constructed in the 19th century to protect the island from invasion by both pirates and enemies. Today, the fort has been redeveloped, with the Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino bringing new life into the legendary historical attraction. In contrast with its glorious past, the fort offers a warm welcome to visitors and is now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Where cannon fire was once heard, music now plays.
